Illustration Friday "Spring"

I skipped last week's Illustration Friday because I didn't feel like drawing a monster. But this week I had a lot of fun sitting on my front porch enjoying the warm spring weather while I sketched out this image. The sketch was very rough and I didn't trace it onto the final paper - I just redrew it free hand onto illustration board and then colored it in with soft pastels. I didn't try to make it look polished because I just felt like doing a nice easy drawing today. Stress-free. That's not something I let myself do very often, but it sure is fun!
